t is known that one of the first signs of the transition to settled life is agriculture. In fact, there is an acceptance in social sciences that the first step of culture is agriculture. Wheat has taken the first place among the basic agricultural products since the Sumerians. Bread made from wheat flour has turned into a unifying and common staple food for all the peoples of the world, and has become an important symbol over the ages. So much so that the global climate crisis, which is one of the leading global problems of today’s world, and the war that started a short time ago, once again proved the importance of wheat in our lives. During the war, the Republic of Turkiye displayed a critical humanitarian and diplomatic effort in the transition of wheat from the war zone to the world.

We are organizing the 15th National Agricultural Economics Congress on the path initiated by the founder of our Republic Mustafa Kemal Atatürk with the aim of developing and modernizing agriculture in Anatolia, who said “The foundation of the national economy is agriculture”. This year as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkiye with pride and great hope for the future, we wanted to emphasize the symbol of wheat that unites our nations in line with our national father’s philosophy of “Peace at home, peace in the world” in our exhibition, which constitutes the artistic pillar of our congress.
